It was a soggy night for the Oscars. 

A downpour caused pandemonium at the Oscars as rain leaked onto the carpet. Puddles formed on the plastic sheeting covering the carpet. 

Crews of workmen in tuxedos went around with long poles to tip the vats of water put of harms way. ‚It’s a mess that’s for sure,‘ an Academy spokesman lamented as he surveyed the scene. 

Photographers and TV cameramen were drenched as rain cascaded down the covering into the media pens.

Someone joked that there was still time for stars to bring umbrellas and raincoats. ‚It’s water torture,‘ an Academy spokeswomen said. 

Uh oh: Rain appeared to be leaking through the makeshift ceiling during the heavy downpour on Sunday afternoon

Making it work: People were using long sticks to help close off the leaks just before the red carpet kicked off

Hard word: The leaks were addressed immediately using poles as well as a raised platform with two workers taking a closer look

I have Asian articles and Fitness articles, so why not combine the two of them and do an Asian Fitness article?

So I did.

And here is the result.

We have five Asian female bodybuilders, two or three Asian fitness competitors, a few IFBB Figure Pros, female MMA fighters and Asian fitness models.

I notice that quite a few of them are from Canada.

Which goes back to my idea that Canada is trying to take over the world using beautiful women.

Rin Nakai – Female MMA Female mixed martial artist Rin Nakai fits into two categories

One…she is a female MMA fighter.

Two…she looks like she could go into bodybuilding if she wanted to.

Yeah I know, she maybe too big of a woman for some peoples taste.

Despite how big she looks in pictures though, Rin is only five foot one and weighs in at 145.

Her current MMA record is 16-2-1.

Brenda Raganot

She was born on September 8,1966 in either Kent, Washington or Annapolis, Maryland.

Brenda’s first contest was the 1993 NPC USA Championships where she came in 3rd.

She continued to compete all the way up to the 2010 IFBB Arnold Classic, Ms. International, Fitness International & Figure International, where she came in 10th.

Brenda is five foot three and weighs 135 (contest).

Brenda Raganot Tanji Johnson

Tanji Johnson – Asian Fitness Competitors Tanji Johnson is not only a fitness competitor, but a former American Gladiator to boot!

On American Gladiators, her character was „Stealth“.

She is of Black/Korean decent and was born in Bamberg, Germany.

In addition to being a fitness competitor and Gladiator, she is a personal trainer, NPC Promoter and writer.

Since American Gladiators, Tanji has gone back into competition heavy.

Tanji sponsored her own fitness competition in 2011, The Tanji Johnson Vancouver 2011.

Starting with the 2002 IFBB Arnold Classic And Internationals, Tanji has competed in almost forty competitions.

Michelle Jin – Asian Female Bodybuilder (FTV Video) This is Asian-American female bodybuilder Michelle Jin.

She was born in China, but moved to the US when she 18.

Michelle is competing in amateur contests right now, mainly in natural bodybuilding.

Other than that, I don’t have a lot of info on her.

Then again, her mass and definition speaks for itself.

Like Rebekah Kresila, Michelle does a lot of posing and wrestling videos.

Michelle Jin – Female Bodybuilding Satoko Shinashi

Satoko Shinashi – Female MMA Satoko Shinashi was born on January 29th (my birthday!), 1977 in Tokyo, Japan and is a female MMA fighter.

Mixed martial arts fighters have to be in shape, a lot of the fitness models use MMA training as a way to stay in shape.

Satoko is trained in Judo, Sambo (a Russian martial art), and jiu-jitsu in her matches, and is known for her armbars.

Her MMA record is 29-2- 2 with 23 of those wins being via submission and 17 of those submissions were armbars.

Pretty much if she gets an armbar locked in, it’s over.

Her only MMA losses were to Mai Ichii by decision and Hisae Watanabe by knockout.

Satoko’s last win was over Yukiko Seki (submission via arm bar) at Deep – 38 Impact on October 23rd, 2008 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Denise Paglia

Denise Paglia – Asian Fitness Models Denise Paglia was very popular in the fitness magazines in the 90s, and her fame has carried over to today.

You may remember her from the 90s TV show, Fitness Beach on ESPN2.

I read that she was of Japanese and Italian descent and she is sometimes listed as Denise Paglia Cole.

Not only is Denise is a Certified AFAA Fitness Trainer, but she was a fitness competitor as well.

Denise placed in the 1992 and 1993 Fitness America National Pageants, and she came in 5th at the 1995 Fitness Olympia.

She was on the cover of the very first issue of the fitness magazine, Muscle & Fitness Hers.

Denise Paglia – Fitness Inspiration Lisa Cheng

Lisa Cheng – Asian Fitness Competitors Beautiful Lisa Cheng is not only a bodybuilder, but a rock climber as well,

She’s so good at rock climbing, she’s earned the nickname, „Hong Kong Spider Woman“.

Besides rock-climbing, I have heard that she might be looking at getting into MMA.

She has been competing since 2002 and in her first fight she was disqualified for using an illegal kick.

Satoko is a former DEEP Ladies‘ Lightweight champion and she has a MMA record of 19-6-0.

And yes, that leopard print two piece outfit is her standard fighting gear.

Jung Dayeon

Jung Dayeon – Asian Fitness Model Jung Dayeon is the woman who started the „momjjang“ (hot body) fad in Korea.

She transformed herself through exercise and diet, and is known as an expert on physical training and exercise now.

Jung has released a popular fitness book, a DVD called „Momjjang Diet“ and even been in a K-drama (in Korea) called „Aquarius“ where she played a fitness instructor.
